On September 13, 2016, Mountain View Partners GP entered into an agreement with the Province of Alberta to design, build, finance, operate, maintain and rehabilitate the southwest leg of the ring road in the City of Calgary and to operate and maintain certain bridge structures (the "Project"). The contract is worth CAD$1.42 billion in 2016 dollars, to be paid over its 35-year term.
The Province of Alberta selected Mountain View Partners GP, a consortium comprised of Kiewit Canada Development Corp., Meridiam Infrastructure North America Corp., Connor, Clark & Lunn GVest Traditional Infrastructure Limited Partnership and Ledcor Developments Ltd., as the DBFO Contractor for the Project. Osler acted for Mountain View Partners GP in connection with its winning bid and the establishment of the bank and bond facilities for the financing of the Project.
The Osler team was led by Tobor Emakpor and Chris Bennett (Financial Services), and included Hannah Kingdom (Infrastructure and Financial Services), Michael Innes, Jason Comerford, Arlene Mack and Douglass Dawson (Securities), Daniel Tatone and James Clinton.
