Infrastructure

Overview

Osler’s Infrastructure Group has advised on many of the most interesting and complex private and public infrastructure projects – utilizing both traditional and P3/AFP delivery models – in various industries including power, transit, airports, social infrastructure, roads, bridges, ports, entertainment, LNG, oil and gas and mining.

Our clients trust us with their infrastructure projects for many reasons:

  • Breadth and Depth of Experience. Osler has a highly-skilled, multi-disciplined infrastructure team. We incorporate international project experience and deep industry expertise to guide clients through the lifecycle of an infrastructure project. Some of our lawyers are practising professional engineers who bring technical know-how to bear on infrastructure matters.
  • Understanding Client Needs. We combine legal and project management skills with an understanding of the commercial pressures under which our clients operate. Regardless of infrastructure project size, industry or jurisdiction, we understand project issues, anticipate problems and offer practical and customized solutions to our clients.
  • Litigation Expertise. Osler’s litigators provide litigation, mediation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution services on infrastructure matters. We have appeared in all levels of the courts and understand how to quickly and effectively navigate through the system to get a project back on track and to get results our clients want.
  • Seamless Client Service. We are able to call upon several other areas of practice including design/construction, project finance, public-private partnerships, power and procurement, and a full range of corporate and litigation services. We offer seamless client service from our Toronto, Montréal, Calgary, Ottawa and New York offices.
