Jake is an associate in the Toronto office and a member of the Emerging and High Growth Companies group. His practice focuses on emerging companies, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate matters.
Jake joined the firm as a summer student in 2021. He completed his Juris Doctor at Queen’s University. While at Queen’s, he worked for the legal startup, Alexi, and was Co-President of the Queen’s Venture Law Society, which explored how lawyers can best support technology companies and funds as they seek to grow the technology ecosystem.
Prior to law school, Jake completed Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Philosophy degrees at the University of New Brunswick before starting his own venture and working for five years in various roles in the Maritime, Québec and Ontario startup communities.
