No Developments in Manitoba

Although it is coming up on two years since Manitoba’s Franchises Act received royal assent in June of 2010, the legislation is not yet in force. There have been no developments since the public consultation period for comments on the draft regulation closed on December 15, 2011.  Click here to review our comments on the draft regulation. Manitoba’s Franchises Act and Regulations Proclaimed into Force

Manitoba’s Franchises Act and Regulations have been proclaimed into force effective October 1, 2012.  The Order in Council proclaiming the legislation will be published in the Manitoba Gazette April 7, 2012.  The Franchises Regulation was registered on March 26, 2012.
