Osler wins United Way Campaign Team Spirit Award – Professional Services

Feb 4, 2016

United Way Toronto & York Region counts on 23,000 volunteers and 760 workplaces to reach its annual targets. Despite a challenging economy in 2015, the newly formed regional alliance exceeded its fundraising goal, clocking in at $100.2 million worth of donations by year end.

Securing donations of this magnitude is all-consuming, which is why United Way appreciates the continued support of firms like Osler. At a celebration dinner for 1,500 on January 27, Osler’s Toronto United Way campaign team was honoured to receive recognition for an exceptional 2015 fundraising campaign, and was presented with the Campaign Team Spirit Award – Professional Services.

Our firm was chosen from a highly talented field of more than 100 professional service firms for our campaign excellence. The award is a clear reflection of the incredible teamwork that kept us focused on our goals.

“Supporting the communities in which we and our clients operate is part of the Osler culture, and our 2015 fundraising activities were no exception,” says John Macfarlane, partner in Osler’s Corporate Practice Group, and Leadership Campaign Chair of Osler’s Toronto United Way Committee.

“Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously to our 2015 Campaign, who gave their time as a part of the United Way Committee, climbed the 1,776 steps of the CN Tower, participated in our volunteer Day of Caring activities and Campaign events, and so much more. Osler has been the leading Toronto law firm in terms of annual support for United Way campaigns for 16 consecutive years, and we look forward to strengthening the relationship between our two organizations.”
