Osler is pleased to welcome Vivek Warrier to the firm’s Energy group as a partner based in Calgary.
Vivek focuses on infrastructure project development, commercial matters, structuring, equity participations and private mergers and acquisitions for clients in all segments of the energy sector. His practice extends from all stages of the petroleum and natural gas value chain to the energy transition — including carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technology, hydrogen and geothermal energy and renewable natural gas — and to power generation, PPAs and power storage.
Vivek serves as vice president of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation’s board of directors and as vice chair (programs) of the American Bar Association’s International Energy & Environmental Law committee. He has also taught Oil and Gas Contracts at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law. A passionate supporter of his community, Vivek is a director of the Calgary Centre for Newcomers and a volunteer with United Way.
