On March 12, 2024, Joyride Technologies announced it closed a $7 million Series A financing round. This round was led by Yamaha Motors and saw participation from Export Development Canada, Urban Innovation Fund, Proeza Ventures, and Two Small Fish Ventures. Joyride Technologies plans on utilizing the funding towards marketing its mobility software to a wider range of customers.

Joyride Technologies operates as a software solution for its customers to launch, manage, and expand public or private groups of scooters, bikes, e-bikes, and other connected, keyless, and sustainable vehicles.

Yamaha Motors is a Japanese mobility manufacturer that develops motorcycles, motorboats, outboard motors, and other motorized products.
