Tenysha has completed her second year of law school at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. While at law school, Tenysha participated in the bilingual Laskin Moot competition and volunteered as a Student Ambassador and an Executive Member of UBC OutLaws.

Prior to attending law school, Tenysha obtained a Bachelors of Biology from Simon Fraser University, and worked for several years in the field of forensic environmental genomics.
