On July 13, 2020, Foodee, a Vancouver-based corporate catering company, announced its acquisition of US-based Chewse, which services the San Francisco Bay Area, Austin, and Chicago. This is Foodee’s first acquisition and it was funded by the company’s recent $13 million financing.
Foodee specializes in corporate and event catering from local restaurants. Foodee’s platform simplifies operations, increases sales and unifies brand experience while prioritizing environmentally friendly packaging and eco-friendly delivery methods. Foodee is working closely with clients to deliver meal programs, particularly individually packaged meals, that meet the requirements of workplace health and safety guidelines arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chewse is a catering platform focused on providing companies with curated selections of family style meals from local restaurants.
