On August 8, 2017, Aker Biomarine Antarctic AS (“Aker”) announced its acquisition of Neptune Technologies & Bioressources krill inventory and intellectual property for US$34 million. The acquisition will be used to accelerate business and industry development.

Neptune Technologies & Bioressources is a solution provider of omega-3's and other functional ingredients to branded marketers in the nutraceutical industry, primarily in North America.
