On October 2, 2017, The Weidmüller Group ("Weidmüller") announced its acquisition of the W Interconnections group companies in the USA, Canada and Mexico from Rockwell Automation, Inc., effective 1 October 2017.
This acquisition supports Weidmüller’s growth strategy in industrial connectivity, communication and digitalization and reflects the long-term commitment of Weidmüller to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) market, one of the most important markets for industry automation.
