Market Prominence

The last two years have been record breaking in the Canadian real estate market, and Osler played a principal role in the most significant and transformational transactions. This included acting on the transfer of two landmark towers in Toronto’s financial core – the TD Canada Trust tower and Scotia Plaza. The latter transaction was the largest single building transaction ever in Canada.  Additionally, the demand for REIT product was the highest in history and Osler played a key role in these REIT transactions.

Success with Canada’s Largest REITs

Osler’s experience in advising on the creation and management of REITs over the past decade has given us valuable insight into this market. We have acted on the most important REIT transactions for key participants in the real estate industry. We also provide counsel on securities, tax, corporate governance and IPO offerings to REITs and their subsidiaries, to underwriters and to lenders.
