Very few had predicted the political drama that unfolded in the US over the last several months. That drama will continue to election day November 5th. Both candidates have espoused platforms which are protectionist in nature and have agendas that could have profound impacts on Canada and its business community. Those impacts will evolve over the next several months and through 2025. It is incumbent on companies in all sectors of the company but particularly in the energy, resource extraction and agriculture communities to begin assessing and discussing the potential implications of a new US administration.
For these reasons Osler has partnered with the Macdonald-Laurier Institute to invite you to a panel discussion with experts to consider and discuss those implications. The event will commence at 4 pm sharp at Osler’s offices in Calgary and will conclude at 5:30 pm with a reception.
