The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) has published draft guidance on organizations’ privacy obligations with respect to the treatment of biometric information. The OPC is holding a public consultation on the draft guidance, ending on February 16, 2024, to seek stakeholder feedback.
Adam Kardash and Joanna Fine (Partners in Osler’s National Privacy and Data Management Group) and Laila Abdelaziz (Centre for Information Policy Leadership) lead an interactive online AccessPrivacy workshop designed to help organizations and trade associations understand the scope, meaning, and impact of the proposed guidance, and to help prepare submissions for the OPC’s consultation.
The recording was submitted to the OPC as part of the consultation process.
