Katy is a partner in the Employment and Labour Group in Osler’s Vancouver office. Her practice focuses on labour relations, employment standards, human rights, wrongful dismissal, and workplace investigations. She offers strategic advice that is customized to the specific objectives of each client across a wide range of industries. Katy has expertise in interpreting and negotiating collective agreements, addressing post-employment competition, and providing counsel on sensitive workplace issues.
She brings with her extensive experience representing employers before the Labour Relations Board, Employment Standards Branch and Tribunal, Human Rights Tribunal, Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal. Katy’s results-oriented style consistently delivers successful results for her clients. Her significant experience in representing clients at trial and hearings enables her to offer guidance to employers in a manner that often resolves issues before they result in litigation.
Prior to joining Osler, Katy was a partner at another law firm where she assisted clients across various industries with their labour and employment needs. Her experience here included appearing at all employment related tribunals and courts in British Columbia and assisting with complex business transactions.
