Lindsay is an associate in the Disputes Group of our Vancouver office. She maintains a general litigation practice with a focus on complex commercial litigation, environmental matters, and regulatory litigation.
Lindsay has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in British Columbia and has experience handling witnesses and evidence at trial.
Lindsay has a keen attention to detail and knack for dealing with complex facts. She has experience in a range of areas including business disputes, class actions, construction disputes, environmental matters, fraud claims, injunctions, professional regulation, and securities matters. Her experience spans a variety of industries including construction, mining, real estate development, media, transportation and logistics, and professional services.
Prior to her legal career, Lindsay practiced as a senior associate in a public accounting firm where she provided clients with a range of services including strategic business advice. She continues to hold a CPA, CMA designation and leverages her accounting background in her litigation practice to provide clients with strategic and practical legal advice.
Lindsay received her JD with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2015, where she received numerous awards for academic achievement and leadership. Prior to joining Osler, Lindsay practiced at another major Canadian law firm in Vancouver.

Commercial Litigation
- De Cotiis v. Hothi, 2018 BCSC 2271, 2019 BCCA 472: successfully acted for the plaintiff in obtaining an order for specific performance of a land purchase contract, upheld on appeal, in a case involving significant credibility issues on the part of the defendants. Successfully obtained special costs for dishonest conduct in the litigation (2020 BCSC 1545, leave to appeal denied: 2021 BCCA 60).
- Riverside Forest Products (2018) Inc. v. Canadian National Railway Company, 2020 BCSC 2067: successfully defeated an application by a trespasser seeking an injunction to restrain the property owner from accessing their own property.
- Acting for plaintiffs in respect of an alleged fraudulent investment scheme including successfully obtaining a Mareva injunction to freeze the defendants’ assets.
- Acting for various clients, including developers, transportation companies, and mining companies, in breach of contract and negligence disputes.
- Acting for various clients in shareholder and other business disputes, particularly those regarding allegations of misleading and inaccurate financial disclosures.
- Advising and acting for accounting firms with respect to professional regulatory and litigation matters.
Environmental Advisory and Litigation
- Advising on environmental legal obligations under B.C. and federal statutes, as well as environmental management system reviews and environmental due diligence risk assessment.
- Defending industrial clients in respect of charges under s. 36(3) of the Fisheries Act.
- Defending industrial clients in respect of contaminated sites litigation.
- Acting for clients in respect of investigations under provincial and federal environmental statutes.
