Warren has a practice that focuses on banking, finance and securities law, including structured finance, private credit, direct lending and asset securitization.
Warren has acted as counsel for financial institutions, alternative capital providers, issuers and borrowers on asset-based financing transactions, debt capital market transactions, and restructurings. With respect to asset securitization, Warren has represented originators, securitization conduits, underwriters and investments banks on public and private securitization transactions covering a variety of asset classes, including auto and equipment loans and leases, residential mortgages, consumer loans, trade receivables and credit cards.
Prior to joining Osler, Warren was senior legal counsel for a major Canadian financial institution, where he advised leadership and management on general corporate matters, capital market transactions, and public company requirements.
