Our Ottawa office is looking for a first-year law student (or a second-year in an applicable combined program) to spend the summer of 2019 in our Osler Works – Transactional group.

The Ottawa office typically hires 3-5 summer students each year: 2-4 in the IP department (typically 1-2 first year and 1-2 second year), and generally 1 student (second year) in the business and/or regulatory practice groups. The IP summer student recruitment occurs earlier than the general summer student recruitment.
2019 Intellectual Property Summer Law Student Recruitment (1L and 2L)
The key dates are as follows:
- Application Deadline: Tuesday, October 9, 2018 (by 1:00 pm EST)
- Interview Weeks: Interviews will be conducted at the firm from October 18 to October 25, 2018
- Call Day: Offers will be communicated beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018
2018 General Summer Law Student Recruitment (2L)
We will not be participating in the recruitment of second year law students for 2018 summer positions.
Due to a full complement of articling students for the 2018/2019 term, we are not currently accepting applications from external candidates.
We anticipate satisfying our 2019/2020 articling complement from our 2018 summer class, we will not be considering applications from external candidates.
