Aislinn has both a broad commercial litigation practice and specialized expertise in health advocacy. Within her commercial litigation practice, Aislinn is particularly experienced in franchise litigation, contractual disputes and class actions. Aislinn also acts for employers defending wrongful dismissal and other employment-related litigation, and has particular experience with injunctions. Aislinn has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario.

In her health advocacy practice, Aislinn works closely with Osler’s Health Industry Group and represents the firm’s Hospital and health industry clients. She has significant experience appearing before administrative and statutory tribunals, including at hospital board hearings and appeals before the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.

Aislinn joined Osler as a summer student in 2007 and articled with the firm in 2008-2009. During her articling year she completed a secondment at the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission.

    • Numerous Hospital Clients: in physician privileges matters.
    • Goldcorp Inc.: in its successful defence of a claim brought by Barrick Gold Corporation against Goldcorp, Xstrata Chile and New Gold in respect of Goldcorp’s acquisition of a 70% interest in the El Morro mining project in Chile.
    • Canadian Chocolate Class Action: acted for a leading international manufacturer of chocolate in respect of antitrust class proceedings throughout Canada.
    • General Motors of Canada Limited: in various disputes and ongoing matters relating to the restructuring of its dealer network across Canada.
    • casino resort company: in an oppression proceeding under the CBCA.
    • A leading international computer software company: defending employment litigation.
