Ashley has completed her second year of the combined JD/BCL program at McGill University. Prior to law school, Ashley graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Sciences majoring in Conservation Biology, earning the Dean’s Medal in her faculty for academic achievement. During her undergraduate degree, Ashley was a Teaching Assistant for three undergraduate courses and a Research Assistant in a mycology lab at the University of Alberta, where she conducted independent now-published scientific research. Ashley has also worked in outreach and communications for several non-profit organizations.
While at law school, Ashley has worked as a Senior Editor for the McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law and will be returning as the Journal’s Executive Editor in the fall. Ashley has also served as an Editor for Rooted: An Indigenous Law Publication. Last summer, Ashley volunteered as a legal research assistant for an environmental non-profit organization and authored a research paper about ecological restoration law and policy.
