Chanda has a strong understanding of the emerging technology space in Canada having most recently been Co-Managing Partner at The Group Ventures, a Toronto-based fund that invests in early-stage technology ventures in Canada and in Israel.
She has also developed deep experience navigating large, established, and complex financial institutions, and in identifying, evaluating, and investing in technology solutions.
Her financial services experience spans several industries. She spent 12 years as an investment banker focusing initially on mergers and acquisitions at CIBC World Markets and Rothschild & Sons. From there she went on to manage large institutional relationships for Citigroup Canada. She subsequently conceptualized, built, and ran the BMO Innovation Fund with an enterprise-level focus on evaluating and investing in technology solutions for the bank.
