Joey’s practice is focused on environmental, regulatory, and Indigenous law issues that affect energy and natural resource projects. She has assisted on matters before the Canada Energy Regulator, the Alberta Utilities Commission, the Alberta Energy Regulator, and the Alberta Environmental Appeals Board. Joey regularly contributes to Osler’s Canada Energy Transition blog.

Joey obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary. Prior to law school, Joey obtained her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.

While at law school, Joey was the President of the Diversity & Law Society at the University of Calgary, as well as the co-Chair of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (Western)’s Student Committee. Joey was also a board member at the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (Western). She remains actively involved with Osler’s Calgary Diversity Committee.
