Richard Wong

With more than 25 years of experience, Richard’s practice is focused on industrial, commercial and institutional project development across various industry sectors, including energy, technology, municipal infrastructure, transportation, defence, and critical minerals. He manages private and public sector contractual, procurement and project development issues on behalf of owners, engineers, contractors and subcontractors on Canadian and international capital projects. 

In particular, Richard has led the procurement, development and negotiation of various forms of multi-party collaborative contracts for complex infrastructure projects in Canada, including Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Progressive Design-Build (PDB) contracts.

Richard is the current Chair of the Contract Documents Committee of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, and is past-Chair of the International Construction Division of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law.  He is also a Board member of the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association, and a prior speaker at the International Association of Korean Lawyers International Conference in 2024 regarding Korean companies and the Green Energy Transition.
