Sophie is cross appointed to the Litigation and Insolvency & Restructuring Groups. Her litigation practice covers all stages of litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on class-action defence and commercial law. She is involved in various matters under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) as part of her insolvency and restructuring practice.

Sophie regularly appears before many levels of court on behalf of clients from a wide range of industries. She holds a civil law degree, a common law degree as well as a master’s degree in international business law. During her studies, she won an award for best factum at the national Laskin Moot Court Competition and acted as a law clerk for a judge of the Superior Court of Québec.

Prior to joining Osler, Sophie practised litigation at an international law firm specializing in professional liability and insurance law.
