Vanessa practises in the area of corporate and securities law, with a particular emphasis on corporate finance and securities, asset management, investment fund and securities regulatory matters. Vanessa has advised managers of investment funds organized as trusts (exchange-traded funds, mutual funds and closed-end funds), corporations (closed-end funds and corporate class structures) and limited partnerships regarding matters including public and private offerings, investment fund mergers and restructurings, ongoing compliance and governance as well as exemptive relief applications.
Vanessa joined the firm as a summer student in 2009 and completed her articles with the firm in 2010-2011.
