Zeyad is entering the third and final year of his J.D. at the University of Saskatchewan. At law school, Zeyad worked as a research assistant for professors Dwight Newman, Canadian Research Chair in Indigenous Rights in Constitutional Law, and Sarah Buhler, Supervising Lawyer at Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City. Zeyad also spent the 2021 summer as a student at a large, Western Canadian law firm. He is currently Vice President of Operations for the University of Saskatchewan’s Law and Technology club.
Prior to law school, Zeyad completed his B.A. in Economics and minor in Philosophy (with Distinction) from Campion College at the University of Regina. During that time, he took on the role of portfolio manager for fixed income and REITs at the University of Regina’s student-led endowment fund, which managed $1.7 million. He also interned as a Ministerial Assistant in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, supporting Cabinet members including the Ministers of Health, Energy and Resources, and Deputy Premier of the Government of Saskatchewan. Zeyad was also a competitive lightweight rower.
