Osler is pleased to welcome energy law lawyers George Antonopoulos and Mauryah McLaughlin to the firm’s national Energy Group, ranked Band 1 in Chambers Canada, one of the leading legal directories in the world. The new partners will be based in Calgary.

George’s practice focuses on complex private mergers and acquisitions in the energy sector. He advises clients in the structuring, ownership and operation of energy infrastructure projects, including joint venture arrangements, commodity transportation, terminalling and storage arrangements, corporate re-organizations, and energy project development.

George acts for companies across the energy sector value chain, including upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas companies, as well as for emerging players in the renewables and energy innovation and transition sectors.

Mauryah’s practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions. She leads complex, high-value transactions both in Canada and internationally, guiding clients through every phase of a deal. While being seated in Calgary has given Mauryah a robust presence in the energy sector (upstream and midstream oil and gas, renewables, and energy infrastructure), her true value to clients is an M&A skillset that is agnostic to industry and allows her to service clients across the country.
