François is a partner in the disputes department of our Montréal office. He specializes in complex legal research and opinions, as well as written advocacy at the trial and appellate levels.
In addition to providing strategic support for large-scale trials and appeals, François oversees all kinds of complex research projects in support of all departments within the firm, including for high-stakes commercial transactions and regulatory reviews.
François’ practice covers various areas of civil, commercial, administrative, and constitutional law. His expertise includes consumer law, competition law, securities law, the distribution of financial products and services, professional law, corporate and business law, franchise law, municipal law, private international law, and fundamental rights.
François has knowledge of both Québec civil law and Canadian common law. He first studied civil law at the University of Montréal and then completed a Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. He clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada for the Honourable Justice Clément Gascon. François is a member of the Québec Bar as well as the Bar of Ontario.
