Osler represented the Association of Ontario Chicken Processors (AOCP) in its intervention in the arbitration by the Régie des marchés agricoles et alimentaires du Québec of the Québec Chicken Marketing Agreement. Specifically, AOCP intervened to argue against the abolition of assurance of supply for Québec chicken processors and for the continued harmonization of assurance of supply for chicken processors in Québec and Ontario.

On June 26, 2018, following a hearing which the Régie itself qualified as the most significant in its history, the Régie decided to maintain a regulatory scheme in Québec which is entirely harmonized with Ontario’s, thus providing stability and assurance of supply for chicken processors in both Québec and Ontario.

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP represented the Association of Ontario Chicken Processors with a team consisting of Alexandre Fallon and François Laurin-Pratte (Litigation).
