Bushra Nassab

Bushra is an associate in our Disputes group. She maintains a general civil and commercial litigation practice, with a focus on disputes arising from complex construction and infrastructure projects.

Bushra has represented and advised clients on various construction disputes in the transportation, health, food, and manufacturing sectors, and her practice covers all aspects of construction law including bidding and tendering, contract design and specifications, contract interpretation, construction liens, delay claims, and negligence claims. Highlights of Bushra’s most recent work include representing the Toronto Transit Commission in a 14-month long trial arising out of the construction of the Pioneer Village Subway Station. Bushra also successfully completed the Osgoode Hall Certificate in Construction Law, an intensive five-day program covering the key areas of construction law, from contract formation to dispute resolution.

In addition, Bushra is actively involved in assisting clients in tax disputes, class action defence, securities regulation, and judicial reviews. Bushra also regularly volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario and was recognized in 2023 by Pro Bono Ontario for volunteering 128 hours of pro bono legal services. 

Before joining Osler as a summer student in 2019, Bushra’s work experience was predominately in the government sector, having worked at Infrastructure Ontario, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, and the Senate of Canada.
