On September 28, 2020, Animalcare entered into an agreement with Kane Biotech to form a new subsidiary, STEM Animal Health Inc. The agreement will enable Animalcare and Kane Biotech to collaborate on the development of new biofilm treatments for animals. The agreement will also allow Animalcare to commercialize Kane Biotech’s oral care products for companion animals in the Europe and Asia markets. The new subsidiary STEM, will be established with a global license over Kane Biotech’s existing range of animal health oral care products, and in collaboration with Animalcare, will focus on research and development of innovative animal treatments based on biofilm targeting technology. Under the agreement, Animalcare will also have licensing rights over STEM products in Europe and Asia, along with the option to acquire an additional stake in STEM.
Animalcare is a UK based international veterinary sales and marketing company specializing in bringing new products to market through its own development, partnerships and acquisition.
Kane Biotech is a biotechnology company focused on the research, development and commercialization of technologies and products that remove and prevent microbial biofilms.
