In July, 2020, BluEarth Renewables signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Bullfrog Power and Royal Bank of Canada. The PPAs directly supported the construction of BluEarth’s new utility-scale solar project, the 39 MW AC Burdett and Yellow Lake Solar Project. The project is located southwest of Medicine Hat in the County of Forty Mile, and created over 300 jobs during construction. The project also injected $70 million of capital investment into the Alberta economy and will produce enough renewable energy to power approximately 6,400 homes per year.
