On June 22, 2023, Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (Canadian Tire) announced a seven-year strategic partnership with Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Canada Inc. With this partnership, Microsoft will become the strategic cloud provider for Canadian Tire and its affiliates (including Canadian Tire Bank) and Canadian Tire will migrate most of its IT infrastructure onto the Microsoft Azure platform, allowing for them to enhance their digital capabilities.
Canadian Tire and Microsoft will also explore opportunities for co-innovation to leverage AI and machine learning to optimize Canadian Tire’s operations and enhance customer experience. This strategic partnership with Microsoft notates a major milestone in Canadian Tire’s modernization journey.
