On April 24, 2020, Nova Scotia Power Inc. completed its offering of $300 million 3.307% unsecured notes due April 2050. The offering was made through a syndicate of agents led by Scotia Capital Inc. and was made on a private placement basis. The proceeds will be used primarily to refinance existing indebtedness, to finance capital expenditures and for general corporate purposes.

Nova Scotia Power Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Inc., a diversified energy and services company, and is specialized in providing 95% of the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power to residential, commercial and industrial customers across Nova Scotia. The company is also focused on new technologies that enhance customer service and reliability, reduce emissions an add renewable energy.
