On August 14, 2017, TPG Capital LP ("TPG") announced that it has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Transplace Inc. ("Transplace") from Greenbriar Equity Group.

Transplace is a leading North American non-asset based logistics services provider offering manufacturers, retailers, and distributors with a blend of logistics technology and transportation management services.  

TPG is one of the largest private equity investment firms in the world, focused on leveraged buyouts, growth capital and leveraged recapitalization investments in distressed companies and turnaround situations. TPG also manages investment funds specializing in private equity, venture capital, public equity, and debt investments.
