On September 7, 2021, Cohere announced it had completed its US$40 million Series A financing round led by Index Ventures and included Section 32, Radical Ventures and multiple global AI luminaries such as Geoffrey Hinton, Fei-Fei Li, Pieter Abbeel, and Raquel Urtasun. The proceeds from the funding round will be used to grow Cohere’s team and accelerate the adoption of its platform.
