About

Osler’s Canada Energy Transition Blog provides insight and commentary on legal and other issues related to Canada’s current and ongoing drive to establish a thriving low-carbon economy.

We cover new and evolving issues, environmental matters, government initiatives, regulatory developments, court decisions and legislation – such as carbon pricing and emissions offset regimes – of interest to businesses focused on the development and commercialization of sustainable energy projects and emerging technologies central to Canada’s energy transition.

Such projects and technologies include those related to hydrogen, bio-fuels (and other low carbon fuels), geothermal energy, lithium, helium, agtech, wind, solar, biomass and carbon capture, use and storage (CCUS).
