Avery is currently enrolled in the Juris Doctor program at the University of Manitoba. While in law school, Avery has worked as a research assistant and editor of the Manitoba Law Journal and participated as an oralist in the Wilson Moot competition.
Avery has also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and facilitates youth workshops with WISE Manitoba. She currently serves as Communications Director for the Environmental Law Group, Women Lawyers’ Forum Liaison for the Feminist Legal Forum, 2L Representative for the Bilingual Students Association and is on the yearbook committee.
Prior to entering law school, Avery worked a court clerk at the Court of King’s Bench of Manitoba.
