Emilia Vintimilla Pérez

Emilia joined Osler as a summer student after completing her LL.M. in Law at McGill University and her first semesters of the program Actualisation de formation en droit at Université de Montréal.

During her LL.M. at McGill, she was actively involved in a number of initiatives: Adams-Burke Global Justice Fellow at the Transnational Justice Clinic, associate editor for the McGill Journal of Law and Health, vice-president of external affairs for the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association McGill Chapter, and research assistant for Professor Lara Khoury in a project on class actions.

Prior to joining Osler, Emilia obtained her BCL (Bachelor of Civil Law) from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), where she graduated summa cum laude. She then held the position of judicial clerk at the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, before practicing business law as a junior litigator with Bustamante Fabara, one of the country’s most prestigious law firms.
