Essence has completed her first year of the JD program at the University of Ottawa. While in law school, Essence was an assistant editor for the Ottawa Law Review. Prior to law school, Essence obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph, with a major in Criminal Justice and Public Policy.
