Haben Dawit

Haben is entering his third year of the JD/MBA program at Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich School of Business. While at Osgoode, Haben is active with a number of student-run organizations including BLSA Canada, where he served as National Sponsorship Director and the Osgoode Venture Capital Law Society, where he was the Co-Director of Events. During the 2024-2025 academic year, Haben will be working as a Student Caseworker with the Osgoode Investor Protection Clinic.

Haben spent his previous summer at Osler working with the Competition and Foreign Investment and Insolvency and Restructuring groups, where he primarily performed various research and drafting tasks.

Prior to law school, he received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in Political Science from Toronto Metropolitan University. At TMU, he served on the Senate Appeals Committee for Toronto Metropolitan University, where he reviewed active cases of academic and non-academic misconduct alongside faculty members. Haben’s legal interests range from competition law, to class action litigation and government investigations.
