Iman is a graduate of the dual JD/MBA program at Queen’s University, studying at Queen’s Law and the Smith School of Business for three years. Prior to law school, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction and a minor in Economics from Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto.
During law school, he authored the first substantial term paper on artificial intelligence and competition law at Queen’s Law. Moreover, he served as a legal intern with Canada’s Competition Bureau in Ottawa, where he supported international trade negotiations and prepared legal research briefs for the Commissioner of Competition.
In his final year, he represented Queen’s Law at the national Fanaki Moot Competition, arguing before competition law lawyers and the Associate Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Canada, for which he received the Best Oralist Award. Before entering law school, he founded and successfully exited an emoji-based recipe search engine and social media platform.
