Gobind is an associate in the Real Estate Group of our Toronto office. He provides advice on all principal areas of commercial real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development, joint venture structuring and leasing. Gobind acts for a broad range of clients, including real estate advisors, asset managers, private equity funds, public and private international investors, entrepreneurial investors, developers and REITs.
His entrepreneurial spirit and strong business aptitude bring a unique perspective to his practice. A former business owner operating in the real estate development, management, and construction industry, Gobind draws on his technical and business experience to help his clients build their vision.
Prior to joining Osler in 2022, Gobind was a member of the Real Estate and Financial Services group at another leading Canadian national law firm.

Notable matters prior to joining Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP:
- Advised a public-sector investment management fund in its $185 million sale of certain industrial lands located in Burnaby, British Columbia.
- Advised Melchior Management 777 Corporation in the formation of a new residential REIT consisting of 38 multi-family properties totaling 1,260 residential units located throughout southern Ontario.
- Advised a private international investment fund managed by Northam Realty Advisors in its $185 million sale of an office and retail centre located in downtown Toronto.
- Advised a private international investment fund managed by Northam Realty Advisors in its $115 million sale of twin office buildings with a combined size of over 375,000 square feet of class A office space located in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Advised Fengate Asset Management in connection with the sale of its legacy portfolio of industrial properties located across Hamilton, Burlington and Stoney Creek, Ontario.
- Advised Fengate Asset Management in connection with construction financing for the development of a 230,000 square-foot industrial building located in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Advised Fengate Asset Management in its purchase of a 20-acre parcel of land at Highway 50 in the Greater Toronto Area for the construction of a two-phased development of two 225,000-square-foot buildings.
- Advised an award-winning and internationally proclaimed music artist and producer in connection with the purchase of a recording studio in downtown Toronto.
- Advised a prominent condominium developer in its joint venture land assembly and mixed-use development project consisting of seven properties spanning three separate parcels in midtown Toronto.
- Routinely advised the Condominium Regulatory Authority of Ontario on matters relating to the Condominium Act, 1998, its regulations, and related legislation.
