Jeremy is a trusted advisor who regularly acts on complex and strategic transactions. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities and general corporate and commercial matters, with a particular expertise in financial institution transactions.
He has experience advising on private and public M&A deals, joint venture investments and other strategic transactions and has represented both acquirors and targets across a range of industries including banking, insurance, private equity, fintech, telecommunications, infrastructure, transportation, oil & gas, mining, real estate and retail. He also routinely acts for issuers on public offerings and private placements of securities, including advising financial institutions on note programs and the issuance of regulatory capital instruments.
Jeremy completed the J.D./M.B.A. program at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business, during which he served as Co-President of both the JD/MBA Students’ Association and the Osgoode Business Law Society. Prior to law school, Jeremy obtained his B.B.A. from Schulich and worked in the finance industry.
Jeremy joined the firm as a summer student in 2015, articled with the firm in 2016-2017, and completed a secondment to Osler’s New York Office.
