Julie Freire is an Intermediate Corporate Paralegal in the Corporate Services Department of our Montréal office.
She has been specializing in corporate law since 2018 and joined Osler in 2020. With solid experience, Julie oversees the corporate records of various clients and ensures compliance with statutory requirements, maintains accurate minute books and coordinates annual filings across all jurisdictions within Canada.
Julie works closely with the lawyers and senior paralegals to assist with the preparation of corporate documents relating to due diligence, corporate reorganizations, financings and mergers and acquisitions, among other transactional work.
With specialized experience in startups (mainly working with our Emerging and High Growth Companies Group) as well as not-for-profit corporations, she is focused on professional growth and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Julie is also actively involved in knowledge management, developing precedents and templates to improve the efficiency of the Corporate Services Department. In addition, she serves as Co-Chair of Osler’s Montréal Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is contributing to initiatives that promote a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
