Michael practices intellectual property law with a focus on patent litigation.
Michael has experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a medicinal chemistry intern working on early small molecule drug development, and as a development technician working on the implementation of a new radiopharmaceutical production process.
Michael studied chemistry at the University of Ottawa where he specialized in synthetic organic chemistry, receiving his Bachelor of Science and spending time in the graduate studies program. His research included working towards a total synthesis of the natural product Penostatin F and the development of a dual gold catalysis reaction. Michael received both the Faculty of Science plaque and The Society of Chemical Industry plaque for graduating with the highest standing in the Honours Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Chemistry program, as well as an award for having the best honours project presentation in the Department of Chemistry.
