Sarah has successfully acted on a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including mining, telecommunications, fraud and securities cases, class actions and competition cases. Sarah’s broad-based experience also includes white collar investigations and international arbitrations.
Sarah has assisted with several landmark appeals at the Supreme Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal and Court of Appeal for Ontario. Prior to joining Osler, Sarah practiced at another major Canadian law firm in Toronto.

Prior to joining Osler:
- A public company in defence of a proposed securities class action alleging misrepresentations contrary to provincial securities legislation in connection with government contracting and the importation of goods.
- Several crown corporations in a criminal law reference before the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
- A public company in landmark trial and appellate proceedings in which the Government of Canada challenged the company’s multibillion-dollar merger, the largest contested merger case ever heard in this country. This case was named the #1 business decision of 2023 by Law360 Canada and one of Lexpert’s Top 10 Business Decisions of 2023.
- A confidential client in a $1.1billion ICC arbitration regarding a major Canadian infrastructure project.
- A public company in defence of an oppression action brought by a minority shareholder, in which the minority shareholder sought to set aside a $750-million strategic transaction.
- Estate trustees in precedent-setting proceedings before the Supreme Court of Canada against a major Canadian news organization involving a request to unseal court files concerning the Estates.
- A public company in defence of multibillion-dollar class actions in Ontario and Québec alleging breaches of the public disclosure requirements under provincial securities legislation.
