Shahab is an associate in Osler’s Financial Services group in the Toronto office. His practice includes a broad range of commercial financings, such as domestic and cross-border lending, acquisition financing, asset-based lending, private credit, securitization, and project financing.
Shahab joined the firm as a summer student and subsequently completed his articles, rotating through the Financial Services, Corporate, and Tax groups, and completing a secondment at a national bank focused on derivatives.
While completing his JD, Shahab served as a Dean’s Fellow and as Outreach Coordinator for the Fashion Law Society, where he was actively engaged in student mentorship, sponsorships, and external relations.
Prior to law school, Shahab worked as a financial services manager at a national bank and co-founded Superior Learning, a private tutoring company that leverages innovative technology to match students with their ideal tutors for personalized one-on-one support.
