Sivan Fox

Sivan is Osler’s General Counsel and brings more than 20 years of corporate experience and legal leadership to the role. She advises on matters related to Osler’s legal affairs and risk management, including client relationship management, conflicts, governance and compliance matters. Sivan is known for being an engaged, inclusive, and results oriented professional, as well as a trusted advisor to business partners and boards of directors.

Prior to re-joining Osler, Sivan served as general counsel and corporate secretary to a major Canadian Bank and to a TSX listed issuer with investments in the financial services, real estate, mining and resources industries. She has led legal teams and her practise has included a broad range of transactions and advice encompassing public and private company mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, investment funds, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, disclosure, compensation, as well as risk and crisis management issues. In 2021, she was the recipient of the Canadian General Counsel (Mid Market Excellence) award.

In addition to her experience as a public company corporate secretary, Sivan has served on the board of directors of a number of corporations, and currently serves on the McGill University Advisory Board.
