Michael has completed his second year in the JD program at the University of Toronto. Before studying law, Michael most recently worked as a development technician at BWXT ITG Canada, working on the implementation of a new radiopharmaceutical production process. Michael also worked on early small molecule drug development as a medicinal chemistry intern at Cytokinetics. He spent time in the graduate studies program at the University of Ottawa under the supervision of Dr. Barriault, working towards a total synthesis of the natural product Penostatin F. He also worked under Dr. Barriault during his undergraduate studies, receiving the award for the best honours project presentation in the Department of Chemistry for his work on a dual gold catalysis reaction. Michael received both the Faculty of Science plaque and The Society of Chemical Industry plaque for graduating with the highest standing in the Honours Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Chemistry program.
